Certificate Program In Equine or Canine Rehabilitation

The certificate program in equine rehabilitation or canine rehabilitation is a sequence of postgraduate courses for veterinarians, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and veterinary technicians or students of these professions, case studies and a cumulative examination. The courses are designed to guide the practitioner from the theoretical foundations to the clinical applications of equine rehabilitation.

The curriculum is designed to meet the high standards of a University of Tennessee certificate program. The University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine is overseeing the curriculum.


University Of Tennessee

Jennifer was one of the first graduating class members of the Equine Rehabilitation Certification Program offered at University of Tennessee in 2005. After receiving her certification diploma, she went on to open her private practice of Equine Rehabilitation Services LLC, in Sept. of 2006. She returned to UT to teach in their program September and November 2010.

Jennifer is now an adjunct faculty member at the University of Tennessee in the Equine Rehabilitation Program. To learn more about Jennifer's faculty position at UT go to She works closely with Dr. Steve Adair, Program Director, to assist in program development, interview prospective applicants, and provide physical therapy lecture presentations and lab activities within the program. She works in conjunction with many highly esteemed equine veterinarian researchers (go to and scroll down to faculty list) that also instruct in the program.
