    • Jennifer has been invited to present at the AAEP veterinary conference Nov. 19th, 2011 in San Antonio, TX. She has been asked to present on her stifle rehab program, lecturing on Physical Therapy Approaches for Strengthening the Stifle and Hind end.

    • Jennifer Brooks PT, MEd., Equine Physical Therapist will hold a Core Strengthening, Back Dysfunction and Lameness Recovery : Equine Physical Therapy Clinic at the Sport Nature Riding and Recreation Center, in Hollis NH on Sunday, October 16, 2011.

      Has your horse suffered an injury, lameness or back pain recently or in the past? Have you been left scratching your head as to what is the best approach to remedy the situation. Many options can be expensive, invasive or left short of what you, the owner, can do to partake in your horse's recovery. If you would like to be more involved with your horse's rehab back to health, and learn techniques to help promote your horses' best recovery to health and pre-injury function, consider attending this clinic on Sunday, October 16th, 2011.

      Equine Physical Therapy is vastly catching on across the country as a method to provide holistic, and scientifically backed, evidence based approach, to treating horses recovering from an injury , disease or surgery. This one day clinic will provide owners, trainers, riders, and practitioners an in depth review of the various ailments that many pleasure and performance horses face regularly. Through instruction of lecture and hands on demonstration of treatment approaches to ailments such as back problems, pain and soft tissue injuries, attendees will learn how to incorporate physical therapy treatments to their horse. This clinic provides five slots for attendees to bring their horses struggling with current pain and movement dysfunction.     • On Thursday, February 10th, at 7:30 P.M. the Pepperell Horse Owners Association ( PHOA) will have a meeting at the Pepperell Community Center. The speaker will be Jennifer Brooks, who is an equine physical therapist with a practice in Brookline, NH. Physical therapy can help your horse recover from a variety of injuries and problems much more quickly and successfully: come to the meeting and learn about new techniques and methods for restoring your horse to soundness. Please spread the word to all your horse-owning friends - the meeting is open to the public. See details.

    • Finally, the long awaited-for and frequently requested Stifle Clinic by Jennifer Brooks, Equine PT, is available in Brookline, NH this April, on Saturday the 16th!.

      After introducing and presenting her Stifle Treatment Approaches at last year's Equine Affair 2010 in Springfield, MA. Jennifer has received numerous requests for clinic events to provide horse owners with information and instruction of her therapeutic exercise approach to treat horses that struggle with stifle dysfunction. Over the past 5 years since opening her practice, she has had many successful results with this program, progressing numerous "stifle horses" out of their dysfunction, back to working performance. If you horse suffers with "weak stifles", locking or catching, or "jumping patella", all forms of intermittent upward fixation of patella, then this is a clinic you will want to attend to learn more of what you can do with your horse to address these problems and return your horse back to wellness.

      Jennifer spent the day May 7th, donating five hours of equine physical therapy treatment to five horses at Live and Let Live Farm in Chichester, NH.     • Jennifer will be attending a Postural Alignment and Body Work Seminar for Equestrians Seminar given by Eileen Halloran, ACSM certified Personal Trainer, Egoscue Specialist and USDF Bronze Medalist on June 12th at Oak Hill Farm, Pepperell.     • Jennifer is frequently asked by her clients if she treats dogs. Therefore, Jennifer will be taking the Canine Rehab Certification offered at Un.     • August 3rd - 7th Jennifer will be attending the 6th International Association of Vet Rehab and Physical Therapy Symposium (http://www.iavrpt.org/) in Auburn Alabama, College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University Campus.

    • Jennifer will be presenting at NH Am. PT. Association Meeting on Sept 16th at Franklin Peirce College, Manchester at 7pm on topic of Equine Physical Therapy along with colleague Charlie Evans, PT, CCRP who will be presenting on Canine Physical Therapy. Other topics to be addressed will be NH Practice Acts, certification programs, individual work situations, and specifics of practicing on animals vs. the differences/similarities of practicing on humans.

    • Jennifer has been invited by Equine Affair 2010, to present several seminars and demonstrations at Equine Affair 2010 in West Springfield MA on s November 10th. At 3PM, Jennifer will present Evaluation & Rehabilitation of Stifle Dysfunction: A Common Problem in Today’s Performance & Backyard Horse and at 5PM she will present Physical Therapy for Stifle Dysfunction: Methods for Strengthening the Horse’s Stifle & Hindquarters for Full Recovery.     • Jennifer will be teaching at the Un. of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, in the Equine Rehab Program scheduled for Sept. 27th to Oct. 3rd, and then again Nov. 15th to Nov. 21st.     • Jennifer has contracted with Myhre Equine Clinic to provide PT services on a weekly basis in Rochester, NH.

    • Jennifer has been involved with the passage of NH HB 345 which allows physical therapists to practice on animals. Final version of bill.

    • Jennifer will be attending the 20th Anniversary of Jumper Classic on Sunday, September 6 in Hampton, NH. More information.

    • Jennifer will be presenting a talk at APTA Combined Sections Meeting 2010 in San Diego, CA from February 17-20, 2010 on the Rehabilitation of Stifle Dysfunction of the Horse.

    • Jennifer attended the 5th International Veterinarian - Physical Therapy Animal Rehab Symposium in Minneapolis, MN August 13th – 18th.

    • At the symposium, Jennifer presented her recently published articles regarding Stifle Dysfunction of Intermittent Upward Fixation of the Patella (IUFP), Literature Review and IUFP Case Study and Rehab Protocol.     • Leslie Goff, PhD demonstrating evaluation methods for Pelvis and SI dysfunction, in Minneapolis at the 5th Int'l Vet PT Symposium

      While at the Symposium, Jennifer attended a full day lecture regarding Equine Sacro-Illiac Joint and Pelvis Dysfunction, Assessment and Treatment with Lesley Goff, PhD, PT, Australian Physiotherapist.

      Jennifer attended the 4 day American PT Association Combined Sections Meeting in Las Vegas NV on February 9-13th. Narelle Stubbs, PhD, PT, author (with Dr. Hilary Clayton) of Activate Your Horse's Core: Unmounted Exercises for Dynamic Mobility, Strength, and Balance and physiotherapist for the Australian Olympic Equestrian Team, will be presenting a 2 hour equine PT program “the Devine Equine” of which Jennifer will be attending.
